Rules
The competition pits animators against each other through scored Rounds where the animators have a certain amount of time to complete their entry. Entries are scored by a panel of judges in Five categories:

• Artwork
• Animation
• Originality
• Flow
• Entertainment

The Open Round is a free-for-all. Animators compete for the top 8 scores, which will move on to the next round.
Round 1 works similarly, having 8 animators pitted against each other in a free-for-all to achieve the highest 4 scores.
The 4 remaining competitors will then be randomly paired off to battle in two seperate one-on-one matches, the higher score moving to the next level.
The Final Round then pits the 2 remaining animators against each other in a match to see who among them can achieve the highest score and become the Champion of Flash Artists.


Nominations
Anyone can make a nomination for any flash artist, including nominating themselves. Once nominated, an artist MUST reply in this thread OR Personal Message me to accept or reject their nomination. No response from an artist by the end of nominations automatically rejects their nomination.
Nominations will END on Monday, June 8th at 12:00 Midnight, Eastern Time!! At that time, the Open Round will BEGIN.

Judging
Judging will be done in 5 different categories, each on a scale of 1 to 10. The total possible points from a single judge is 50 points, making a total possible 250 points from the 5 judges that will be participating. Judging remains unchanged through each round.

The judges are:

• NitWitt (myself)
• SliceDr
• TooMuchSpareTime
• symphybunny (not on ABS Forums)
• kitkat (not on ABS Forums)

The five categories being judged will be:

• Artwork / Design
• Animation
• Originality
• Entertainment
• Flow

(Note: Audio will only be judged as parts of entertainment and originality. Do not make a big deal out of audio, it constitutes a tiny fraction of your score, if any at all. Let's not make it a huge issue this year )

Prizes
Prizes are to be determined by donations to the competition. The Champion will recieve the largest prize, while the runner-up will recieve a smaller prize (Note: This may only happen if there is enough prizes donated -- Otherwise, the Champion will recieve all prizes).

I will be donating $50 to the prize pool. Anyone else interested in furthering the artistic animation community of ABS can find the donation button on the bottom of the main page of the TOFA website, using paypal. Any other donations (ie. ABS shirts, video games, etc.) must be mentioned in THIS THREAD or PM'd to me to work out logistics.

Thor, as I've yet to see any flash from him other than liek 2 of his Bad Day flashes and I personally want to know if he follows all those tips he gives out.

Oh, and I also vote towards the second option for brackets, if debate is still up about that.

I've been animating and practicing a lot more, so I feel like I can get farther this time. I'm a bit more comfortable.

Also I nominate Avid Lebon, zekeyspaceylizard, LazyBoy, Salty Peach, and boinky33.

I accept Avid's nomination and also nominate two newcomers, Ginger and Vile.

Unfortunately I have not had time to train them, but will instead use this very competition as a kind of training course for them. XD

I have officially changed the brackets to the new option including four rounds instead of three. The Calendar has also been changed to fit this, but the start and end dates remain the same.

Whenever you talk about them it sounds like you're training pokemon or something. Just feed them a bunch of rare candies and they should be fine.

I'm not sure if I'm going to be able to do this one. I'd fully been intending to decline if I was nominated as I'm expecting to be rather busy this summer, and the animation deadlines I've had lately have been a headache and a half that I'd really like a break from! But, I feel kinda bad missing TOFA. It was lots of fun competing last year, though it didn't leave much time for other things. Since the first round is a bit off for now... I'll accept. And if I am insaneabusy I can just drop out open round like the cool kids.

Sweet, I was wondering when this would start. Can't wait to see the action. Good luck everybody!
