Here's an email I got yesterday.
The subject line of the email is "Product Contains Offensive Material". QUOTE Lost Transitions to me show details Dec 2 (16 hours ago) My and my friend are offended by you allowing the 'I Must Be Emo' [ http://www.albinoblacksheep.com/audio/emo ] video on your website. It not only contains gruesome and obseen pictures that hurt people who actually have enough problems to deal with, so they find it necessary to do that to themselves. My friend and I also find it offensive because we have to deal with people at school who think it's okay to make our lives worse than they should be. You should not support these videos and instead try to help them be shielded from this cruelty. Emos are not all suicidal, in fact we have more fun than others because we know what true sadness is. Watching contents such as this makes us even more upset that people are okay with the suffering of people who are very well ready to kill themselves. This really add on to their hurt. Who knows, maybe somebody died for watching this video. Don't say to just not watch the videos, for it's hard not to miss them when one; it's hard not to miss because they're everywhere, not only on your site, and two; everyone can't stop talking about them. All we suggest is for you to support a video that everyone can see that is serious about this situation and will try to make others think about what they're doing, and know that it's not okay to act like this to certain people. The pain adds up. My friend and I deal with this at school everyday, and we were hoping that maybe if someone make a serious video about this situation off your site that everyone can see, it might help make others see that this is wrong. You have a very popular site, and we enjoy it very much, and so do others, so it will take a toll on at least one person, which is one less person to harass, and possibly one more life to protect. Okay, I originally didn't read one line past the one I posted ( I was too repulsed ) but I decided to try to read it over my second glance.
Seriously, I was waiting for the /end bullshit tag to be the closing for this thing. It's like that whole ordeal with Oprah Winfrey stating that she wasn't gay with that Whats-her-face, but more of in a "Complicated relationship". It made her seem even more gay. This makes me want to laugh at emos even more. |

Okay, If you want to be part of the "emo" crowd, you have to know that some criticism will tag along with you. Why is it okay for us to make fun of a "cheerleaders attitude" or a "jocks dumbness" and not an emotional kids sadness? Just because you choose to be a part of something it doesn't mean you are automatically void of all cruelty. Why is it that you know what "true sadness" is and we don't, because you wear dark clothes and pout all of the time? It's good to know some people are able to see themselve as influenceable enough to be depressed and commit suicide over a video on the Internet. Such a lack of backspine and self-confidence must be amazing to have and I envy them for being so flexible about their own pride and value.
I also admire their hypocrisy to say it's fine to laugh at certain groups, but not theirs. Happiness and comfort are obviously represented by the social group we are in; jocks and cheerleaders are dumb and happy, emo kids are intelligent, non-conformist and sad about this terrible world we live in. No way everybody has feelings; they're alone to do and they have to be protected. It takes balls to be so dependent on others' views and opinions to live, to ignore basic facts about human beings and to value yourself over others by admitting being weaker at the same time. Is this your first hate mail? I am surprised you handled this in a profesisonal manner. I would have just made fun of them a lot then marked their e-mails as spam so they would be filtered and I wouldn't have to listen to their dribble about how I am wrong and I should take it down or get sued.

I find it offensive that you would have the gull to even think something like that. I can guarantee you there are thousands of people who have a much worse life than you do. The very fact that you have the internet makes you luckier than most of the entire world!! (93% of the world does not) You do not deserve special treatment, you are not in more hurt than everyone else. It is NOT our fault that you chose to sulk in every little tiny thing that could be wrong. It is NOT our fault that teenagers commit suicide, don't even try to say it's our fault. We didn't kill them, they made that choice themselves.

what the f**k are they talking about? Der... I don't likes to argue, but h3re is teh friend that likes to which makes my point pointless! I love the statement that he said about how many people have killed themselves because of that video. It was originally on myspace, i don't have one, but my friend showed me the song and that music video long before it came to abs. It's funny, end of story.
